1993 Beneteau 445 - Cruising Ready

Kauhalekai has been our home for the past 2.5 years. She has been a joy to sail and live aboard. The Beneteau 445 (Oceanis 440) was designed by Bruce Farr as a performance cruiser. She points very high sails well in the Caribbean trades. In our recent trip through the E. Caribbean, Kauhalekai sped along at 7-8 knots on passages making for shorter days at sea. She is set-up for living aboard without the need to be at a dock. The watermaker provides ample water for domestic uses and even keeping above decks clean. Wind and solar power provide more than enough power for all of our needs, including running computers and watching movies.
